Component Reclamation
Precision extraction of reusable ICs and components from end-of-life boards.
Component reclamation is the process of carefully extracting reusable semiconductor ICs, memory chips, storage devices, and other components from end-of-life or surplus PCBs. RELINK uses controlled desoldering and extraction processes to recover components in a condition suitable for testing and re-entry into the supply chain.
- Controlled desoldering to preserve component integrity
- Specialised in memory ICs, storage ICs, and controller chips
- Component-level sorting and visual inspection post-extraction
- Feeds directly into our testing and grading pipeline
- Mobile phone and tablet main boards
- Laptop and desktop motherboards
- Server and networking boards
- Consumer electronics PCBs with recoverable ICs
- Mixed board lots from OEM and ODM sources
Our Process
Board Intake & Logging
Incoming boards are logged, photographed, and catalogued by model, source, and estimated component yield.
Pre-Extraction Inspection
Boards are visually inspected for damage, corrosion, and component condition before extraction begins.
Controlled Desoldering
Components are removed using controlled heat profiles to minimise thermal stress and preserve pad and ball integrity.
Post-Extraction Cleaning
Extracted components are cleaned to remove flux residue and contaminants before inspection.
Visual Inspection & Sorting
Each component is visually inspected under magnification and sorted by type, condition, and suitability for testing.
